PanoPress Previewer

Previewer

Utility

An instant, zero-fuss 360° scene viewer. Need to quickly test an equirectangular image or illustration? Drop your image into the Previewer to instantly interact with it in 3D space. Powered by the robust KRPano engine, this tool even supports VR viewing via Google Cardboard natively in the browser.

Exif Fixer

Exif Fixer

External

The 1-click metadata restorer. If a 360° photo loses its hidden metadata during editing, Facebook and other platforms will blindly display it as a distorted, flat rectangle. Exif Fixer instantly recalculates and injects the correct code into your JPEGs so they always render as interactive spheres. One click, entirely free.

Cubed

Cubed

Labs

Break out of the standard sphere. Cubed takes your traditional 360° spherical media and dynamically wraps it around a clean, interactable 6-sided 3D cube. It is a fantastic way to display panoramic media as a tangible 3D object on a webpage. (Also features an experimental 360° video wrapper).

Virtual Staging Tool

Virtual Staging

Labs

An experimental interactive overlay tool. This utility demonstrates how to pair a base panoramic image with a transparent cutout overlay (alpha-channel masking). It allows users to dynamically change the colors or textures of walls and furniture within a 3D spherical space in real-time.

Solving 360 Challenges Through Creativity and Code

PanoPress is dedicated to a singular mission: providing free, high-quality tools for the creative exploration and distribution of immersive 360° "VR" media. This site serves as a central hub for various utilities I have developed to solve specific workflow headaches, from repairing broken metadata with Exif Fixer to building complex virtual environments with the new PanoLite virtual tour builder.

The philosophy behind PanoLite is simplicity and privacy. Unlike many modern platforms, these tools are built to run locally within your own browser. Your proprietary 360-degree images are never uploaded to a remote server, ensuring your data remains completely private throughout the entire creative process. As this field continues to evolve, I will be adding more tools and experimental projects to this collection.

This project is curated by Keith Martin. I have been a photographer, developer, designer, educator and obsessive tinkerer for decades. Having taught design and media at university level for more than 20 years, I am passionate about making both creative concepts and technical workflows accessible to everyone. In 2022, I was contracted by Meta to help design and build an educational resource for the immersive media industry, and PanoPress is an extension of that same commitment to industry-standard learning and toolsets.
